Serving our community is forefront at Bethel. That’s why we’ve coordinated with the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department to collect roll-up fleece blankets (new or gently used) the Fire Fighters will hand out to kids in crisis. It’s the closest thing to a warm hug when their worlds have been turned upside down.

Beginning Sunday, November 24, and continuing through Sunday, January 26, we’ll be working to collect the blankets. Collection bins will be available at:

  • Fire Station #1, 101 Ford Hill Lane, Seymour TN
  • Fire Station #2, 7915 Chapman Highway, Knoxville TN
  • Dollar General Market, 10329 Chapman Highway, Seymour, TN
  • Bethel United Methodist Church, 5550 Sevierville Road, Seymour TN (Sundays only from 10:15-11:45 a.m.)

Scout leaders, youth leaders, and crafters:  If you or your organization would prefer to make blankets, they should be no larger than 60″x50″ and need to be made in such a way that they can be rolled up for easy storage on Fire Department equipment. You can find “no-sew” blanket instructions at:
